FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A clearer picture
of Global Crops.
About our technology, project model and international deployment approach.
Is Global Crops a farm or a technology company?
Farming experience sits behind the company, but the business model is deployable agricultural technology. Global Crops provides the growing system, biological programmes, controls and expertise that support independently owned farms.
Does Global Crops only operate in Malaysia?
Global Crops is built in Malaysia. We welcome suitable farms and partners internationally. Project fit depends on climate, crop, infrastructure, regulations, economics and local market conditions. This does not imply existing deployments in every market.
What crops is the system designed for?
The platform has been developed around commercial crop production, with a particular focus on fruiting crops. Crop-specific deployment is evaluated individually.
How does Global Crops save water?
Closed-loop recirculation allows water and nutrients to be reused within the growing system instead of intentionally discharging them after one pass. Actual savings depend on the comparison baseline, crop, climate and operating method.
Do you use microbes?
Yes. Microbial ecology is part of the growing environment. Global Crops has developed proprietary beneficial microbial programmes. Detailed formulations remain confidential.
Do you make your own fertiliser?
Global Crops develops proprietary crop-specific nutrient formulations and stage-aware nutrient programmes. Exact formulations, concentrations and dosing methods remain protected know-how.
Can I build a farm using Global Crops technology?
Yes. Our production technology is complete, and suitable farm owners, agricultural companies, developers and investors can discuss project location, scale, crops, infrastructure and commercial objectives with us.
Do I need to give Global Crops ownership of my farm?
The model allows the local operator to own the land, facility and crop while Global Crops supplies technology and support under an agreed commercial structure.
Is the buyer–seller platform available?
No. The B2B agricultural exchange has not yet been built. It is a long-term ambition, separate from our completed production technology.
What information should I prepare for a project enquiry?
Country and project location, available land or facility size, intended crops, target market, planned scale, investment readiness, timeline and existing infrastructure.
